These popular five week courses introduce children to art in its many forms, from traditional observational drawing and painting to abstract approaches and applied arts such as illustration and textile design, taking inspiration from famous artists, past and present.
In a way that is appropriate for their developmental stage, the children learn technical skills such as chiaroscuro, perspective, mark making, colour mixing and a variety of painting techniques while being encouraged to enjoy the process of creating art rather than pursue ''perfection'.
By looking at art history, we learn that rules are learned to be challenged and broken, and that the most celebrated artists are those who have fully embraced their uniqueness. It is our uniqueness that takes our work from good to great!
These classes are laid back, sociable and supportive, an atmosphere in which the children are able to relax and produce their very best work.
£60 for each five week block, payable in advance. All high quality materials and equipment, as well as refreshments are included in the price.
