SUNDAY SESSION: Paint Roses in Oil

In this relaxed, step-by-step oil painting workshop, you will learn how to approach one of the most beautiful and iconic subjects in painting: the rose. Working in a masterclass format, we will begin with a guided demonstration showing how to observe and structure the form of a rose so that it feels natural and convincing. You will then be introduced to a simple, reliable method for mixing and adapting colours using basic colour theory, allowing you to paint roses confidently in any palette you choose. By the end of the workshop you will have a clear process you can return to whenever you want to paint roses again.
